Welcome to our Branch Web Site

Located on the sunny shores of Highland Creek, Branch 258 is proud to serve veterans of east scarborough and western Durham.

This website was launched last year in a effort to better serve the members of Branch 258 and to open a new form of communication between members and the executive, As well as a way to reach out to the community.

The Highlander is uploaded to this website at the same time it is sent to the printer, so if you want an early look at the highlander be sure to keep watching this site towards the end of the month.

Highlander Editorial

It is great that summer is here, I hope you will all have a happy and safe summer. I know everyone is getting ready for the big Canada Day party at the branch, but that is not the only day you can enjoy the patio at the branch. The branch can always use your support, so when you have friends you want to take out to a patio bar, why not get out to the branch and enjoy our patio. There has been a lot of cleaning up in the back and you will be pleasantly surprised how nice the patio is.

I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible on Warriors Day at the CNE, this Is probably one of the biggest parades where the Legion gets exposure, this year, the parade marches through BMO Stadium.

President's Message

It was great to see 118 members out for the elections and we can only hope some of these members will take the time and attend future General Meetings. The elections on May 12, 2008 went well thanks to Deputy Zone Commander Karen Moore and her election zone volunteers.
